After spending 4 years as a mid-level ops manager, I tried to break into HR through talent acquisition. Now after 6 years in TA, I've had a hard time getting out of it. Just got another rejection... Is exiting to FAANG or MB really this hard? Trying to go tech.. or mbb, but not getting anywhere. I have 2 masters (mba, ms) from top schools, been in consulting for over 10 years, I am confident that I know my stuff well..but still I keep getting rejected. Interviewed with Google, Amazon, Cisco, McKinsey, and a few others and every-time there is something that is not a match... are the hiring managers looking for like 100% match? That will never happen!!!

How much emphasis do you put on the company culture before accepting the offer?
I have an offer with 30% pay increase and will offer me a D role in publicly traded company (IPO in 2020), but I have read very polarized reviews on glassdoor (e.g., micro manage, yes sir mentality, long hours, unstructred)

Also, their benefits are not very attractive (e.g., 2 week paternity, 3.5% 401k match, unlimited vaca -- which means you have to take permission and have to feel guilty if you take off longer)
