I’m tech transactions and break my deal sheet out as follows:
- commercial transactions, M&A, private financings
- reverse chronological order
- make sure you’re not disclosing anything confidential. Rule of thumb is that if your firm didn’t announce publicly then you should anonymize the party names
- don’t put anything on there for which you couldn’t talk intelligently about your role
This is helpful, thank you!
Fill a page using the same font and size as your CV. That's how many. Go back as far as you need to in order to do so, you can keep closing dates off the deal sheet. If you don't have enough deals, give more info on each deal so it takes up 2 or 3 lines instead of a single line.
Thank you!
I don’t know that it needs to be a full page 3/4 would be fine. I might break it out into types of deals or areas of deals that made sense depending upon what job you’re sending it for and then have four or five examples of each. Something like that I’m sure Claude can do you a template pretty quickly.
I should also note that because I am coming from a boutique firm, I don’t have the volume of deals that larger firm attorneys would have. Not sure how many deals is just not enough.
