Only makes sense to do an analytics masters degree if your company is paying for it or you choose a super cheap option like Georgia Tech. Experience + Masters is the key.

There are very few companies left that actually pay for tuition. Also, when they pay your tuition, they expect service in return. For some, it is like a bond or a year or two.
Dumb post..like anything it depends on where you go and what you make out of it. If you go to a business analytics masters at Cornell or Harvard..yes you are most likely to benefit greatly from it. If you go to a no name school outcomes will differ.

Yeah, where you graduate from, does count as well! But in this field, experience matters!
I have that degree and make $230k with 6 YOE. But I also went to a top five school.
Aka Chicago
Preach.
I have my MBA with biz analytics focus. I can tell you its not a scam. I have done quite well with it. I got additional certs in data science and deep learning and took roles that were analytics based. The experience is more important, but the masters will set you above the rest. That being said, ITS HARD in the analytics space. Lots of competition now. Almost need a masters in analytics/comp sci/data sci/math/stats to actually get to a decent level. And also, never pay for it yourself, unless its one of the cost effective programs like georgia tech analytics or boulder data sci/comp sci masters (both under 15k I think) Otherwise, most masters aren't worth it, really need your company to pay for it, or at least a good chunk of it.
