Can anyone give me some ideas/pointers for this case study? I’ve never had to do one for work and this one is required for an internal position I applied for. My current role is primarily focused on systems consulting and the role I applied for is for a program consultant in HR. Any advice is greatly appreciated 😊

Will I get the job if I do well in this case?

Context:
Company X is a small company (~500 employees) and although they perform very well, the leadership would like to infuse an agile mindset, improve collaboration, and reduce low-value work, so that employees can focus on critical business initiatives.
At Company X there are multiple projects & initiatives that are happening across multiple functions. They vary in size and scope, each project has its own governance, project plan, and dedicated teams. Sometimes the same team members participate in multiple projects (stretch assignments).
Your mission:
You were selected to design an approach to reach the ideal future state: a way for the leadership team to have visibility, coordinate, prioritize, make decisions on projects. The intent is to increase value delivered to the business in a more effective way, enhance collaboration and communication across teams.
Prepare a short proposal with the approach you suggest and get buy- in from the leadership team to implement it.
Tips:
- Think about the tools you will be using for project tracking & coordination. You can include mock-ups of project plans, dashboards, etc.
- Consider how you will stay engaged with the project teams, so that your data is always up to date, and how you will include incoming projects in the view for the leadership team.
- Be candid about potential challenges and estimate how long it would take to implement your approach.
Problem statement:
While initiatives are aligned to business needs, there is a lack of consistency in how they are driven. Also, the company’s leadership have limited visibility to all initiatives, thus preventing them from prioritizing the work based on business value and urgency. This limited visibility impacts their ability to understand who is doing what, estimate available capacity and better manage resource allocation.
Stakeholders:
Company X Leadership team: business unit leads, functional leads Project leads and teams working on various initiatives.

Lol I’m sure this role is way below a partner! It’s a career pivot for me - something totally new

I appreciate it!

Hi Fishes need your suggestions please. I have an interview with PWC for GCP DE Manager, currently working in pure technical role as data engineer. Very specific to retail and/or hospitality in-house roles: has anyone found a good solution for predictive scheduling? Our retail division has one set of software for scheduling and one for payroll, and neither of them can handle predictive scheduling compliance issues unless they’re used for both the scheduling and payroll functions. I’m coming up empty on ideas for them to bridge the gap, but I’m also new to my compliance counsel role, so I would be overjoyed if anyone has suggestions.

Hello, I worked 1 year as a 'Senior Data Engineer' at 110k base. I then was offered and accepted a role as 'Service Manager' at 155k base where I worked another year. Just recently accepted a 'Data Engineer' job at 155k base but with a larger company (in theory with potential to grow).

I am a Google Certified Professional Data Engineer.

Should I be earning more?

Would I earn more long term if I stayed on as Service Manager?
