Got an offer from Kantar Consulting to work on their retail/cpg product.
Currently working with IBM with 10+ yoe having joined IBM 10 months back. Currently at 25 lpa and getting an offer of 32 fixed+15% variable.

Now my question is - Is it worth the gamble to leave IBM and join Kantar consulting which btw is known for market research and not consulting.
Also would leaving IBM after 1 year look bad on CV?

EY GDS is offering 18 lpa and senior consultant 1 roles + 1 lpa join in bonus+VP 10%
PWC india is offering 15.5 lpa + 2 lpa Join in bonus + VP(not mentioned) and senior consultant 2.

I have 7 years of experience and recently i got offer from CTS as a Sr. Associate. I am into testing and into automation since last 3 years. I don't have automation architect type knowledge but I do automating scenarios with selenium and Java. I am not into framework development. Now if I join CTS at 15.7 package will they expect me to work into framework development or just as a tester who does automation sprint wise scenarios. Please only genuine suggestion. I am into dilemma.

I have hit my wall. I cannot do public accounting any longer. I cannot deal with the constant focus on compliance, billable hour and the general unproductive behaviors/mindsets. I remember a day when we were here to help clients. Now I just feel like we are here to bill clients. I want to go help someone build something.

I can’t help but feel stuck in my career. I’m a licensed attorney in another country, but been working as a law clerk in a firm for about a year now. I was hoping to take the NY bar in February but the foreign law graduate restrictions won’t allow. Now, I have to wait till July! I was hired within the last year as a site supervisor. I did well my first few projects with the company. They asked if I’d be interested in transitioning into a construction manager role. I agreed. Now I still am the site supervisor on projects but I’m also doing all the construction manger duties on the project as well. Essentially 2 jobs for one salary. We have yearly reviews in December but no talks of raise have been discussed. Any help on approaching this to my boss?

Do I have to worry about thr uploaded documents ? Does document upload confirm thay I will join Mindtree amd hence cannot join any other company?

The son of the owner where I work has been coming to work with a gun showing it off to people. He got into an arguement, put his hands on another employee and threatened to put a 9 bullet in his head. I suspended him and opened an investigation. The owner is mad and feels my case is biased and suspended me. He admitted guild and its not about what happened but why! I need to protect the business & secure the victim to lessen the chance of him reporting this to EEOC or DHL. He's being a dad

I'm a third year plaintiff's employment law attorney and I'm looking to move to defense, preferably still in employment law. I received an offer from a midsize firm that primarily focuses on PI with little-to-no employment law practice, so I'll have a bit of a learning curve. Offer is $90k, billable hours of 2100. Is this reasonable? I'm dead-set on leaving my current job, and this would be a $20k pay increase - which makes me believe I'm leaning towards taking it for those reasons only.

I’ve practiced litigation in DC for about 5+ years at a larger plaintiffs’ firm, and am considering a switch to a defense firm. Is there any insight to how many billable hours this would require, and how much time that would actually be? For reference, the firm has a 1900 billable hour requirement and the partner said I would have “no problem” fulfilling that based on the work they have.

I feel left out in my firm. How do I make 'friends' with my colleagues? I've been here for a year. I am naturally not a very out going person, was never 'cool' and I struggle to speak in group situations / make engaging conversation with higher ups.
