Can anyone recommend a good printer for the home office? I need one that can print quickly and doesn’t run out of ink every two days. Thanks in advance!

I got a Brother printer at the start of WFH and it’s still going strong- surprisingly doesn’t use a lot of ink and I hate to admit this but I also use a lot of paper copies so I print almost daily. A lot better than the HP I had pre-WFH

I loved my brother laser printer/scanner. It's ten years old and still works, although I've replaced the printer with a laser printer from work. For quality and longevity, brother is awesome.

Laser all the way. Get one that will work with generic toner cartridges, which are very affordable.

Def not HP envy. I printed one thing and a few days later I was told I needed more ink 😒

I bought a Brother 2690 laser printer with our tech stipend last year. It's AMAZING. The cartridges last for 5000+ pages and the laser is so quick. Highly recommend. And definitely spring for the auto-feed scanning model rather than a flat scanner.

Laser. I have an HP1102W. It only dies bw, but it's great.

Joining a big firm next week as fully remote lateral and flying out to home office for orientation. The schedule has me in office until 4:15. I’ve already been told I won’t have any actual work. Depending on how many people are there and how it feels, I was planning to stay an hour extra but should I hang around the office until later? First time visiting this city so it’d be great to take in some sights too (although that’s not a priority of course).

1099 or w-2 ? I have been given the option though the company prefers w-2. It’s a day rate booking couple of months or more (no end date). I already have 1099 from similar company this year and am leaning towards 1099, but I don’t want to be difficult. I do take home office deduction and they are not supplying any equipment. Suggestions?

Smart people who know about technology: 🙏🏼 I want to get 11.5-14 inch monitor to add to my (1) laptop and (2) second monitor.

I’m worried about the monitor having a high “processor” and slowing down all my programs (including the program I use to login to my office desktop). Can someone point me to a monitor that may work?
