Any in-house counsel in here willing to post their company, level or YOE, and total comp breakdown? If you’re comfortable, please consider posting both your current stats and what your stats were when you first moved in-house. If there’s any other information that you want to share, please include that too (e.g., hours, interesting perks, etc.). Info on in-house salaries is pretty hard to come by, and it would be great to compile some data points here! Facebook Amazon Google Netflix Apple

I interviewed for the position of Associate Human Capital Advisory role at KPMG. I cleared my first round but for the second round tgey gave me 2 case studies and one excel assessment to be completed in 2.5 hours. I think I messed up the case studies and just wrote the approach and recommendations but didn't include any other preferable portions. Is there a minimum cutoff for these assessments?

Very significant turnover due to lack of jobs resulting in lack of staffing.
Super top heavy with lots of MDs and SDs all demanding research and POVs on opportunities that don't go anywhere.
Base Salary same as / worse than big 4 / others...the promise is bonus however without the staffing there is no bonus.
Very limited training compared to big 4. Much better place to join later on in career than at start.
Morale very low. Reputation still great however, people generally very nice. It's just not a restructuring market ATM. Go for performance improvement instead if you can (CTS or Pepi).

Thank you for sharing. I would appreciate a response on a few more questions:
1. Do you like the restructuring work? (given a normal project flow). Is it a place where you could stay for the long-term?
2. Based on the high turnover recently, what are the most common exits?
3. Any thoughts on the market going forward? Seems like A&M has been hiring aggressively
