Can “boomerangs” be considered for roles that are a lower level than they had when previously employed? I was L7, laid off when Amazon closed down my business unit early 2022, and am considering applying for L6 roles.

I’m interviewing with a startup and the range has a 40k difference from the lowest to highest point. It’s also pre-seed and comes with equity, and health, 401k benefits. It’s a director of sales role so I would eventually be recruiting and managing a team along with building the processes and strategy. What would you consider a fair compensation package? If they offer me something on the lower end of the range, is it still appropriate to counter with an offer that is over their stated range?

I’m currently in a lease admin type role, in commercial real estate. I make a base salary of $50.5K with about $9k in bonuses. I’ve continuously received 7-10% raises over the last 3 years. I anticipate getting a promotion this year and would like to get closer to $60k for my base salary. I’m the only person in my role at the company and have been a key person in developing our team as we look to expand. Is this unreasonable? Is there a normal increase given with promotions? Went through multi-day loop for L5 SA and felt confident in my interactions. Presentation went well with no lack of answers for follow up questions. Just found out 6 days later I will not be receiving an offer, and it is policy to not provide feedback of gaps or reasons behind no offer. Also found out they ask you not to reapply for 1 to 2 years for same role. Would anyone recommend an alternate path for feedback on interview (outside of recruiter) and is the 1-2 year policy true?

I have an interview coming up with the hiring manager for a senior tech writer role. Should I have data to back up a lot of my examples/experience?

Unfortunately, I don't have a lot of data/numbers to use I just have a lot of anecdotal evidence.

I had a first interview last Tuesday with Amazon, which I think went well, although I still haven't heard back 6 days later and then got an OOO annual leave msg and a no response when I chased up the named colleague today. Is this typical behaviour others have experienced when dealing with the big tech company recruiters? I found Google and Facebook recruiters to be efficient and TikTok so-so, if not a little slow, but 6 days+ seems poor.
