Started at a big firm in July with high hopes- in the career path I wanted and I would be joining with other new grads.
After onboarding, it’s as if my team forgets about us every day. The training is non existent, there doesn’t seem to be any initiative to invest in new hires, my manager scolds me for not knowing enough yet gives no direction. He mention that I should read some sales pitch books of some sorts so I can get a process down and not be drain from having genuine conversations with every client. I think it’s a great idea. Salary range for Tax Manager at a regional firm in New England? Considering going back to public but would need to make at least $140k and not sure that's reasonable.

I spent a year in tax investigations where I believe I was thriving ( I was going to be an assistant manager in July 2023), I had a lot of assistant manager jobs, I even drafted a Code 9 report to HMRC which my manager said was 80% of an actual report, he then added the 20% and submitted it.
After I realised I couldn't maintain all the unpaid overtime I was working I decided to take a turn and go to compliance, so now I work in CT compliance. I feel very surpressed.

I'm 25. Working as Global Mobility Compensation Consultant 1 with Deloitte. Having better than average skills. PGDM from a Tier 3 College (The Worst Part). Making 6.2 LPA (Fix + Variable).
Am I Doing bad or very bad in terms of money?
