What should I expect from my manager? I've stuck it out for a year now and all I'm ever told is to not make mistakes. Manager stated explicitly that he does not want to review or test my work. Any attempts at discussion of why I made a mistake are dismissed by him as me making excuses. I never get any positive feedback. I somehow manager to make it a few months without making any errors but I missed a small detail in a large project and my 1on1 went terribly because of it. Is this common?

I have a partner who routinely ignores emails or responds to them several weeks later. He has to approve every single document sent to the client or the court, which means you have a physically go to his office to ask him to review something. I’m a new analyst at a PE firm, and my associate keeps blaming me for things she does wrong. Like she will tell me I made the wrong change, even though she is the one who changed it. Or in calls with other people, she won’t take responsibility for things that she told me to do that the other person calls out as wrong. I have a real estate client who at the top of his organization chart owns is 50/50 partners in a real estate investment company. First question is it advantageous to have the top of the organization 50/50 partners own the r/e company as an s-corp? That 50/50 company then owns 70% of holding company they own all the real estate as a partnership that the original partners are 35/35 and the investors own the remainder. All the real estate deals are then owned by this holding company.
