KPMG has two offices in Atlanta: downtown - 4 floors in Truist Tower (used to be called Suntrust); midtown- 1 floor in IBM Tower (original name).
Both are accessible by MARTA train.
Both have parking decks attached. Downtown parking is $20/day iirc, midtown is $18. Both have monthly parking plans that may make sense depending upon your in office plans.
The downtown is traditional office style. Midtown is Ignition Center. All ATL resources have free access to both.
From a traffic standpoint I prefer midtown, but for quiet work I prefer downtown. I use both on a regular basis.
I used to live northeast of the city and the commute in to both offices was more difficult by car. If you want to live in town, and so many people do, then it would be totally different. Few of my intown colleagues drive to an office.
I'm in Advisory, but when I meet with Tax folk, it has always been downtown. I really like and respect all the tax folks I have dealt with.
Welcome to the office.
Don't work at KPMG but live in ATL. Looks like their office is in the Vinings/Smyrna area.
Most people, if heading in for work, drive. The traffic can be absolutely miserable so it's important to learn your best route and timing.
Our public transportation is not great, truthfully. If you're used to commuting by bus/train, I think you'll be very disappointed.
Vinings/Smyrna has really grown the last several years. Lots of stuff to do around there. Good local restaurants, shopping, etc. The Braves' stadium is around there, if you like baseball.
Yeah the main KPMG office is downtown in the Truist building
Welcome to Atl. The office has a number of advisory practices due in part to how easy it was to get anywhere in the country from the airport. However, as a result I don’t think we are as cohesive as some other offices. Downtown has limited lunch options. As far as living, it’s split. Some prefer inside the perimeter as the belt line has developed. The rest tend to be in the suburbs for better schools and more community feel.
We have Cumberland, midtown, and downtown offices in Atlanta. Culture is pretty laid back and friendly. I'd live on the north side of Atlanta. Midtown and downtown can be accessed via Marta and there's a discount for parking. Cumberland has free parking.
What would you say is walking score around Truist Tower
Like a 3 unless you live downtown which most
