Hi Fishes, Currently I am working in Kolkata for past 3 years. I am not a fan of the humid weather in Kolkata. Whenever I go out, its sweaty.. I have an opportunity to shift my workplace to Hyderabad. I want to know about Hyderabad weather month wise..

Deloitte’s pto benefit is the best among the b4... steer clear from unlimited pto, it’s a trap.
Managers and above get 26, firm shut downs and 13 holidays.
Nice try HR
I don’t want unlimited PTO... unli PTO means no PTO payout when you leave and cant use the excuse to use PTO because ‘theyre expiring’... also feel like it might make people take less PTO. also depends on how it’s implemented (impact on util)
Anyone who suggests unlimited pto needs to be tarred and feathered, you will never take pto again
Depends on the company. Had unlimited PTO at IQVIA and took 4 weeks off in less than 6 months (end of previous year, then early in following year).
But i highly suspect in consulting it would be a major fail.

Unlimited PTO = $0 PTO payout if you exit. C’mon man!
Were you the kid in grade school that said “Wait, you forgot to give us homework!” before class was dismissed?

Unlimited PTO is a scam propped up by HR to make it sound like some progressive workplace policy when really it just means less PTO is taken due to pressure and you don't get paid out for any remaining PTO
Its only good in small, personable companies

Because PTO was meaningless at Deloitte when your utilization gets dinged and you still need to do firm initiative hours. Just save it for a nice payout for when you leave.
Holiday doesn’t hurt util at Deloitte. Because the 9 hours charged vs. 8 hours expected takes care of it. PTO hurts the util but that’s why the util target is 90% or less. When I was at IBM all these didn’t affect util but then everyone had 120%util and that was an overkill
Unlimited PTO is a giant trap. It’s easier to get to moon than to get vacation more than 2 weeks once unlimited PTO is in effect

Unlimited PTO is a trap and people use it less Than if they had their 20 days or whatever.
Unlimited PTO benefits the employer more than employee, lots of studies done to show that it saves the employer money because less people take a vacation and less of a pay out.

Unlimited PTO means everyone takes less PTO and you don’t get paid out if you don’t take it.
I don’t see how everyone doesn’t realize unlimited PTO is a MUCH worse deal for everyone, except maybe the people with only 2 weeks who will be able to take a little bit more.
Hu dis
Because you can't even use the PTO that Deloitte gives you.
If I left tomorrow- I'd get 5 1/2 weeks paid out to me.

I came from industry where it was unlimited PTO, trust me, NO ONE uses PTO if it doesn’t expire!
I used mine. As an American, I really don't understand this American mentality. We barely get vacation, then don't even take what is fully allotted to us.
I think what made it easier to take my vacation, was that we had transitioned from a set amount of days. So I was able to benchmark against that, then added an extra week, because why not. If I stayed at the company, I probably would have added an extra week every couple of years till I got up to 6 weeks, assuming that I considered to be a high performer and get my work done.
But I do agree with everyone else. I would rather have generous PTO, then this BS unlimited. There are few companies that really embrace unlimited (maybe Salesforce?). The rest just want to appear to be doing a good thing. But if they really cared, they would have had most.peoole at 4-6 weeks with 12+ paid. Company holidays before switching to unlimited.
Lol we don’t want unlimited... thats a scam...
This some day one stuff my man!
In consulting, don't go looking for unlimited. I doubt you'd end up taking more than 2-3 weeks max. There's always work to do and you're surrounded by workaholics who won't crest a culture of taking the time off.
In addition to that, you won't get paid out when you leave.
Much better IMO to have a set amount of days so no one is subtly or blatantly questioning your days off. And if you can't take the days bc you're too busy, you can get paid out.
Kinda new to Deloitte. How much PTO can we accrue before it expiring?
