Can you only apply to the Google APMM program if there is a position available at your home country’s office? Or can you apply anywhere? It says there is no visa sponsorship so I assume it’s the former but wanted to check.

Hello people, how common is a Amazon to PWC move ?
I’m interviewing for a Senior Associate role and TC seems to be more competitive than role in L5.
TC $114k- Base AMZ- $73k +$38kstocks ( vesting 17k$ due next year)
TC $135k Base PWC -$81$ + Bonuses ( 50k$)
Looking for managerial skills which the PWC role avails, and L6 promo doesn’t seem to be happening soon in current role. I’m also mentally stretched. I hear WLB in PWC is just as busy but can anyone confirm if this move makes any sense. Google Amazon

Correct - we don’t sponsor visas for the first rotation, so you must have right to work in the APMM position you apply to.
I think the only exception for this is APMM roles in the US … but for instance, I’m a PMM in SG, and came here on my second APMM rotation (as I’m from the US / hold a US passport). Google has sponsored my work visa since I moved out here … but if this was my FIRST role, I wouldn’t have been sponsored (could only be US based, since I hold a US passport). Make sense?
CA1: Right now no, but that’s due to COVID - fingers crossed they’ll resume those next year (as it’s a highlight of the program)!
