Can you rank up as a developer too fast? I was recently promoted from a junior to mid level role then applied for a mid level role at another company which came back with an offer for a senior role. Is there any danger in accepting?

For those of you who made the switch to in house/corporate law, what was your experience like? Did you have to take a lower position to gain the experience or were you able to argue that your soft skills were transferable to in house?
