Law schools always seem to be looking for folks to teach the 1L legal writing class.
I did an associates after high school and had two professors who were JDs. One taught business law and the other taught a business econ/finance class.
Depending on your location, you might just call the dean's office at a local community college and ask if they'd be interested in expanding their course catalog to include basic law classes that conform to your specialty.
I teach part-time as an Adjunct at a 4 year college with only a JD. I practice L&E, and the class is Labor Management Relations, so directly related to my practice area.
FYI, the other adjunct that alerted me to the opening also does not have a PhD. I'm not sure how he got his position.
F - I also looked down this path last year and found the JD, at least at the community colleges close to me, allows us to teach certain community college subjects (law based, gov’t type classes), but if anyone had practical advice i’d love to hear (and if they would even hire someone without prior teaching experience).
Many community College adjuncts do not even have terminal degrees. I had high school teachers with only masters degrees hold adjunct positions at local community college
