Just to manage expectations here. Being on the client side isn’t without stupid bullshit. E.g. paying over $2 mill in creative fees to an agency and get their junior talent account ppl as your day to day. Then suddenly, when they don’t tell the creatives the feedback accurately and you have to keep re-addressing the same shit, guess who is called a bad client?
Or the CEO decides he wants an entire campaign that is off strategy and will not take no for an answer...
Last time I checked this was a bowl titled Bad Clients...why be shocked at the contents?
If that's your only reason, you're having a better experience in this business than most!
Ha! I think I’ve recently had a “final straw” incident after years of abuse.
Same. I wish I didn’t have to worry about losing the awesome medical we have now but I don’t know how much longer I can tolerate this without telling a client to fuck right off.
Same here. I’ve been doing this a long time and the past few years it seems more and more clients aren’t capable of doing their jobs. I don’t think it’s me losing patience because I “check myself”. It’s time to move on.
Seriously, I feel you on this.
Leaving the agency world is scary. But life is good on the other side. Planning the escape is key.
