Gave interview in TCS, it went pretty well. At the end, the tech interviewer asked my expected ctc. After mentioning as 27lpa, he asked if can be negotiated, told yes.
After that didn't get any feedback, its been around 5days.
Is 27lpa too much fr tcs? 🤔

My current ctc is 13.8 lpa. Before scheduling L1 interview, HR told me for this role the maximum pay is between 13lpa and 5lpa.. I said ok.. and i have celared the interview as well. HR negotiation is pending. Now if i negotiate for a higher salary.. what will happen? Would they be able to go beyond 15lpa?Capgemini

Update your resume and start applying. People are leaving for a reason
You have to put yourself first and focus on securing the next stable job. It’s not your responsibility if people are stranded. Always have a backup and make decisions in your best interest…especially if you’re the sole provider for your family.
They were trying to scapegoat me for the poor survey results by saying I am unhappy at the co so my staff follows that. Their point of reference was basically a one day meeting after I found out some devastating personal health news and also had some other personal things going on and so I was withdrawn and not super chatty with folks. I also confided in the wrong person about feeling uncomfortable in that particular setting after some feedback that I received from a prior meeting about being too extroverted. I’m like make up your minds dudes. Participate, sit quietly, just decide.
Then, I made the mistake a couple of weeks ago of asking HR for their help with a particularly difficult issue with team bc I mistakenly thought I was supposed to use HR as a resource when I needed support for personnel issues. So, they took all that and tried to use it to insinuate that my team was disengaged bc of my attitude. I was not standing for that at all and was like things haven’t been great but I show up every day, work my butt off and hold my team accountable. I am this co’s biggest internal advocate and h the person folks call when they need to vet a concern or vent. Then, I talk them down and we all move on, productively. They really didn’t have any response other than we’ll check in again in a couple of weeks.
Lesson learned. I’ll just be happy and smiley all the time going forward and handle issues on my own. Unbeknownst to me, my husband listened to the entire call outside my office door and was astounded at their absolute refusal to be accountable for anything that has happened or mentioned as a pain point or issue. He was completely stunned and even said - he had never really heard or realized gaslighting bf that call… He was esp. pissed bc I work like a dog for these people.
So, I live to fight another day…, but I will never raise another issue or concern or give honest feedback ever again.
Throw me under it then back it up and roll over me again. If they had ANY idea how many people I’ve counseled and calmed down after they’ve done something stupid, they’d be amazed. They told everyone the survey was anonymous and that they wanted people to be honest and they’d work with teams that had negative results to address issues, etc. It was just a witch hunt and they intend to take out any one that dared to criticize the co.
they schedule them now to make sure the person being let go or doing the convo are available.
Thanks. I guess I’ll find out! They gotta scapegoat someone I guess. Looks like it’s me. We were messaging about the time yesterday bc I had a meeting that was a conflict and was like I can’t make that time.
The whole thing is weird.
Sounds like Ogilvy
No. It’s not…
I’m in a really similar boat, OP. I wasn’t fired but I was put on a really vague PIP that didn’t have any feedback for what I did wrong and basically says “if you say anything we don’t like, you will be terminated.” I’m currently debating FMLA or quitting immediately.
Ugh. I’m so sorry. I have no expectations rn as my role is undefined as a result of the reorg. So, I’m not sure what complaint they would have other than I spoke up for my team.
Dodged a bullet. Phew.
