Money (now and in long run), brand, and maybe the work itself will be better at ACN but I hear quality of life and culture is better at Slalom
Brand is huge in our line of work. Slolam is still growing. Also, apparently back in the day, slalom used to cut salary by 50% while on the bench. This was 6 years ago, so it might have changed since. Go with Accenture. You’ll walk away with a better brand on your resume. Most folks don’t know about Slalom outside consulting. Ask a few random people at your client site and see what they say
Idk how it was 6 years ago, but we definitely don’t cut salaries for people on the bench! I would counter and ask for more money from Slalom. Ultimately, I would go where you think you will get the best experience. For me that was Slalom, but it’s different for everyone
We used to offer a variable pay model where you got paid per hour when billable, but only got paid for 20 hrs if you were on the bench. For folks who wanted to throw themselves into it, was a great option. Racking up 50hr weeks was effectively a 25% raise. Everyone always had the salary option too. You chose at time of offer and could switch approx once per year.
To my knowledge it was discontinued and only a few people are still grandfathered in.
Accenture- 93 base + 7 sign on
Slalom- 88 base + no sign on
2.5 years experience
How does the work differ from pwc? You should be getting similar pay at pwc already.
ACN has much better benefits as well. Slalom has great brand/culture and more local work options, but I would put ACN as the winner overall. It’s also extremely easy to jump to Slalom after starting with Accenture. Slalom is full of ACN alumni.
Depends on individual’s priorities. I would pick Slalom for the work culture and quality of life. Otherwise Accenture.

My two cents - I think Accenture is the right choice at the Consultant level. Slalom might be better later on when you're ready to slow down
