Switched to Golf Pride Tour velvet midsize +4s on all my clubs to take stress off my left elbow from gripping too tight. Took about a month and a half to get used to after a lifetime of regular but it added a couple yards of distance and my elbow doesn’t hurt anymore so I am very satisfied. As mentioned above I would try it on a club and see.
Try it out and see if you like it. I have that on my driver with the rest standard sizes. Worst case you dislike it and have it regripped back to normal. A single grip change is not expensive
I put on the golf pride Mcc +4s for this reason exactly. It helps a bit, but I’d recommend not putting it on your wedges. I did that and had to take them off and go back to regular tour velvet.
Thanks all! Maybe this is an off season change. Have a golf trip coming up and I don’t think it’s gonna be an immediate improvement
I tried that but I lost the ability to hit a draw. Everyone’s experience will be different so try it on one club, perhaps your 7-iron, and see how it goes. That way if it doesn’t work for you, it’s only one club to re-grip
Really just want to do it for driver. I am actually quite consistent with my irons. Driver can get away from me tho
