For only 4 years of consulting at ACN? Oof 160 is hard
160 is high, I’d say 140 is doable in mid to HCOL.
When I left Accenture at consultant I went from 115 to 180 so it's possible, but it depends on your roles and experience. If you are constantly taking roles above level and have the skills to back it up it's doable, but there are a lot of factors that you need to take into account such as how the job market is doing.
as many others have asked, not a great time to find jobs. I was 130k at L9 in LA. probably 140 now or not with inflation
I had 4.5 years of experience when I left ACN a few months ago. I was making $120k as an L9 last year and just got promoted to L8 at $140k before I left. Went from L8 to Senior Consultant at Deloitte now making $165k. This was all in a non-Chicago Midwestern city, so probably Tier 3.
Maybe shop around to EY-Parthenon as well. Consultants can make up to $180k base.
Was a C3 at 145,000 and now in industry for 145,000 but now have a 15% target bonus compared to my previous 5%
A1 feel free to DM. I left ACN, and now am in industry (lateral) I'm my new group I can continue to move up as if I was in consulting and then transfer to a different business line.
Note I didn't go from C > SM, I went from C > Lead Analyst as for me progression goes:
(Different flavors of analyst which are equivalent to consultants), manager, director, and VP.
The responsibilities for the role are similar (if not slightly more) than at ACN as a consultant
I switched firms at 4 YOE for 170k TC but that was 3 years ago. Different time.
Came into ACN after 4 YOE at 140k plus sign on. You’re probably looking at that upon exit.
What is L9 MBA salary in tech strategy?
I was at 115K as Senior Technical Account Manager / Senior Systems Engineer with a small MSP in Boston area. Left after 5 years and got a 40% raise as Client Solutions Architect in the enterprise space. Life changing! Earning 162K in a hybrid role now. There was a 3 month gap between jobs and I got certifications that helped. You can get there with similar effort, opportunities and rocking the interview rounds. I sure had to!
