Costco Wholesale 🐠 here, I need an office chair for wfh (so at least 7-8 hours sitting/day) and I am a big dude as well. Saw 👇bad boy at a location here. Has anyone bought this or any other from Costco with good experience/happy with the purchase? Budget is upto $250.

When the pandemic began developed very bad back pain.

Gave in and bought a used Aeron for $400. Back pain vanished. Best purchase ever — I am a believer.

I honestly cannot think of anything I’ve purchased as an adult that gave me better value for money.

Steelcase leap for me. 6'4" and 220lb

like

No they don’t steel case there. You can find on sale for about $5-600 don’t buy refurb they are POS. But it’s a good chair with lots of adjustments but not worth the price tag.

I recommend getting one with neck support similar to gaming chairs. Once u have that u don’t go back

like

Yes would love it and will check it out.

So I didn’t buy this but I have used it at my friends and I definitely prefer steelcase chairs. They had a sale going on so I got a series 1 new for ~300 but used market goes below 200 easily. I would highly recommend steelcase compared to this

Bought one last month to replace my 6yo POS chair. It’s decent for the price and like the lumbar support.

Looks cozy! And who doesn’t love a lazy-boy. I’ve purchased this one here, it’s excellent and I can only recommend it, but might be too tight for you. I’m 5’11” and 180lbs and it works well, could be slightly bigger/wider, but not by much.

You bet! Let us know what you decide (and how you like whatever you’ll be getting).

I got this one at the beginning of COVID - was able to expense half using our well-being subsidy. It provides awesome back support and super comfy.

Post Photo

How does that work D2? Looks weird / lack of support just by the quick glance. But of course it’s better be super good for that price

Keep in mind Costco has a great return policy as well

Yes S1, they do and we love that. Yuge advantage over other retailers, Yuge.

I have and I like! I’m 5’5” 120 though.

I have this one. Not a huge fan--Costco had a different LZB chair they carried up till a year or two ago that was much preferable to this one in my opinion. I have both, the older one at my home office and the newer one at my office office.

It is comfortable and I haven't had issues sitting in it for 6-8 hours a day, but it's not nearly as cushy as the older one.

Mine lost the cushy feel within 3-4 months, not sure about the foam quality under the leather. I have the old version from over a year ago so I would be cautious if you want a chair that will last a lot longer

I have that same costco chair, it is huge! Ok quality. I would prefer something less bulky, like a herman miller aeron.

Need Suggestion.

I am the only developer in my team and my manager has assigned me a project in which I need to create a tool from scratch although that is currently running in production build by third party and we don't have access to that code.

I am on notice period and I am 100% sure that project won't be completed before my LWD.

What should I do, I asked him to put some extra team members but he didn't agree, seems like he will add extra team members 2-3 weeks before my LWD.

Been in consumer insights all my work life (10 years) and considering pivoting to product or product marketing manager roles. Yet I have had some interesting convos for people manager roles in insights recently and wondering if I should maybe refocus my efforts there. I’m looking for a broader mandate than just my immediate pipeline. I have been enjoying insights but grow frustrated by the lack of decision-making power. I rather would want to take a path with high long term career potential.
