I'm working the customer service desk, and the phone rings. I answer, and it's a customer asking for directions to the store. No problem, I give them the usual clear, step-by-step instructions... turn here, look for this landmark, etc. I finish up, thinking we're done, and then they hit me with, "Okay, thanks! Hey, uh... can you see me from the window right now? I think I might be close." I had to bite my lip not to laugh while I explained I couldn't exactly spot one car on a busy street from inside.

I had a customers son throw up all over the floor and then he sat and played in it. I was shocked at what I was seeing because he was way too old to be playing in his throw up and furthermore, the mom didn't do anythint about it. She just stood there looking.

Has anyone left PA for a hybrid accounting/finance role? It definitely sounds interesting to me, but I want to avoid ending up in a role performing 2 roles for the salary of 1! Also, I’m trying to find a bit more of a work life balance, and some of these hybrid roles seem like they will be just as crazy.

CTC : 5.25 lpa

Why if you are on H1B is so much problematic for vendors looking for contractors ? Vendors keep on asking to join on W2 rather that Corp to Corp although for employees on H1B we cannot join on W2 due to immigration issues. Point being does it matter for end client , if the contractor is coming as W2 or not ?

Once when I was waiting tables, I had a guy pay me cash. The change was 45 cents, which I didn't give back to him because like who wants that. He then asked where the change was, and when I explained that I didn't give back the loose change, he made a big stink about how dollars and cents matter and didn't leave me a tip. He was a republican staffer on capitol hill.

Back when I was getting started in the food world, I worked flipping burgers at In-n-Out. A man came in and said the burgers he had gotten weren’t right. He dumped the food on the counter and then he started throwing them back behind the counter. We gave him a refund and then his demeanor completely changed. He was calmer and he told us to have a great day as he left us to clean up the mess he made.
