Try to figure out a way to flip it to Core rather than USDC. Trust me.
After waiting this long I was hoping for a sign on bonus but that wasn’t part of the offer.
Chief
D actively hires for multiple including the same roles in anticipation for current or future needs
Nothing to worry about on that front
You need to get the hard copy offer letter in hand though
That’s ultimately my plan. If they follow through on offer that is.
Which practice?
USDC change management
I can tell that in core HC, hiring has been frozen and prob will be until after the new year.
The level of demand really just depends on the project and the center manager that's supporting you. OCM is a newer dedicated focus for them. It's literally taken them years to get that off the ground so I wouldn't bet on them.
If you are choosing a role based on family reasons I absolutely would not push for core because there is no expected downtime and the expectations won't change just bc of your needs.
Best advice is to just verbally negotiate, accept, then keep applying, and interviewing. It might work out, it might not. I never recommend anyone to sit around and twiddle their thumbs regardless of offer.
Oh wow, I had a verbal in April and was still waiting for a written offer 2 months later. I had another offer, so I went with the other firm. Now I'm thinking that was the right call...might have still been waiting for that written. My advice is to keep applying, OP. Nothing is certain.
I’ve been applying with no luck. If I would get another offer I’d take it. No luck sadly.
OP- Deloitte is a big firm, we recruit a high volume of candidates for a role (aka multiple space available for that job)
Just got an email from recruiter saying now there will be no offers in January.
I think I’ve applied there but most are in VA or outside of where I’m located.
