How many YOE? 90k/4 years?
What is a good range for equity and base?
Chief
Ask what level and what exactly is your title. Your pay seems to indicate level 4,but to the best of my knowledge most EMs are level 5 and most are level 6.
Are you sure you are not a TAM.
Also...your target bonus is 15% but just about everyone gets 18-20%
Also is that your offer or the range someone quotes
Title and level are what I mentioned earlier- Engagement Manager and L5.
Good to know about the target bonus.
I think the base is closer to L4 as well (or not the best for L5).
These are the numbers from the Recruiter of what to expect for L5 in this role. Seems a bit low, eh?
Chief
Ohhhhhh....ok this makes sense.
I am going to assume that you do not have an offer yet.
Is that correct?
Currently in the interview process but the recruiter shared these numbers upfront and mentioned there won’t be much room for the base (per Google process).
Can you share your insight on what’s a reasonable range to expect, given the YOE, role, level and location? Referring to all the components of Total Comp.
Chief
140-155 starting
18-22% bonus is usually more accurate
Equity from 215-285k
Sign on 20-50k
Annual raises of a few percentage points
Annual equity refreshes of 50-90k
I got the same numbers as you did when I started the process a few years ago....definitely freaked out.
The person that referred me basically said to trust him and not sorry about the money.
The were rights...especially since my equity has almost doubled since I joined.
