Chief
KA implies you’re a second class citizen in the firm
OP- I am a former LKA who exited to industry. Yes, you will be a second class citizen but there are still a lot of positives to working in KT.
For exit opps, you won’t be able to get quite the same roles as consultants, but having BCG on your resume is a huge positive nonetheless.
I’m happy to discuss in more depth if you send a DM.
Have seen people leverage KT exits to some cool stuff, some exits to BCG CT and some to other firms at CT if that's what you want - and there are staffing opportunities for KT if you want them.
To the second class citizens comments - The firm will never view KT (or frankly any non-consulting function) as the golden child and there are certainly times I've felt second-class, but your experience will depend a lot on your practice and topic. I love the folks I work with and they value our expertise as a core enabler of the team and a successful commercial practice so it doesn't matter to me what an random A/C/PL thinks, but it's pretty variable and I know many people that have had far different experiences. Am not familiar with ENPA, but happy to discuss more if you want to DM.

If you don’t mind me asking - what was your offer like? I’m in the interviewing process right now.
What was your base salary offer? I understand pay bands increased recently and I’m curious if I’m getting screwed or not.
Hey! Curious to hear about the work you do as a trader. My SO is very interested and would love to hear more. Also happy to chat about McK if you’re interested!
