I've been interviewing with some companies, and now I have to decide between JPMorgan Chase and Globant.
Globant is more innovative, and has remote work. I will enter to work with a Sillicon Valley startup based in San Francisco. The tech stack is React, Nextjs, AWS, and a serverless architecture.
JPM is semi remote, and less innovative. The tech stack Java, SpringBoot and AWS. But I'd do more migration tasks, like dockerize projects and pass them to kubernetes. What would you choose?

They assume you'd want to keep working. It's not involuntary servitude, you can always turn it down. Contracts require both parties to agree, so feel free to refuse it, or negotiate a higher rate, if that's your preference.
Yes but let’s say I’m curious to explore opportunities with another company the agency staffs- will it now appear that I haven’t fulfilled my contractual obligations with them and therefore wont get their support with the transition?
they work with your staffing agency to discuss employment, they don’t work with you directly. If you have an issue, that needs to be discussed with your staffing agency.
You were not consulted because Google isn’t employing you, they are engaging a staffing company, which employs you.
Google doesn’t care if you’re here or not and is expecting the staffing agency to handle any turnover or comp discussions with you directly.
The staffing agency is going to assume, until otherwise told, that you would like to keep your job. If you don’t, as mentioned before, they will find someone else. They didn’t enter into a contract on your behalf. They entered into it on their own behalf, and they would be responsible for fining the new resource should you leave.
Definitely seems weird to extend the contract without talking to you. It's like, better than terminating the contract but what does it contractually obligate you to do? I guess I would review it and push back if there's anything that you're not willing to agree to
