I'd like to ask how/if you've been discriminated against in the workplace and how/if it was handled appropriately.

I'm worked as medical assistant at one of the bigger hospitals in the Seattle area. I had my accommodations altered, portions removed, and stipulations placed based on new co-workers not understanding my disability/accommodations. They stated I created inequity and reduced morale, so I was required to alter my accommodations. No undue hardship was given.

I recently took a sick day and felt like my team was judging me / didn’t believe me. How do you approach taking time of when you are legitimately at a breaking point? AND if people ask

Hello All, I am looking for base salary for Sr Manager Medical Affairs Healthcare Innovation Technology (HIT) for imaging. I have 12 yoe and looking to be competitive with negotiating salary.

So I had been working as medical interpreter up to the early part of this year. Today, during an interview, the Director with whom I was interviewing genuinely urged me to consider pursuing a career as a PA or even attempt to go to medical school. I had considered it in passing before but today was about the third or fourth time that someone had earnestly nudged me in that direction. Has anyone here made such a career pivot before? I love working in healthcare, there’s nothing like it.

I’ve previously worked for 10 years as a medical assistant in a variety of specialties and primary care. Lately, I’ve been feeling a bit stuck as to my next step. Part of me want to go into management, another part is saying go get your RN, and the other is saying go into Social Work. I’m all over the place. Any ideas? And how would I be able to cross over to management?

What should a coder/biller/transcriptionist make with over 15 years of experience? I am currently the only person in the office that can do those jobs with no backup. I code and bill all office visits for 5 orthopedic providers and all surgical coding/billing for 3 surgeons. I also do any transcription that is needed.
