Is Florida really not safe even to travel? I can understand if you're being asked to move there. Also did they know you were gay before hiring you? I am not sure if that's a relevant issue here that there's no other gay person in the company, since lot of people don't discuss personal lives at work. As long as people are respectful to you and your work.
I have a lot of lesbian friends , they love going to Florida specially in winter.

I wouldn't assume there aren't other queer people in the office. I'm often mistaken for straight or straight passing and I'm a bi woman.
Do you have a DEI officer or a LGBT+ employee resource group? Someone you feel comfortable sharing this information with? I think it's worth sharing that you don't personally feel safe traveling there without having to disclose anything if you don't want to. I've told work that I don't feel comfortable in certain areas because of legislation that's harmful towards me and people I care about. Most straight people don't even think about it - not in a bad way, they're just oblivious.
I will say that most conferences book their locations years in advance and it's difficult to change it, and that's been the case with a lot of conferences in Florida this year. My company was invited to Out & Equal this year which was in Florida and had a lot of great resources on safety and precautions. They also shared what the organizers and venue was doing for safety, so maybe that's something you can look into as well for peace of mind?
Does the company have any employee resource groups or a DEI officer? Perhaps you can speak to them. But I would applaud you if you chose to speak up. People need to get with the times.
I live in Florida and have met more gay and gay-friendly people than most other places. Miami and Tampa and Orlando you will have ZERO issues. Maybe in smaller no-name towns, but I doubt the conference will be there.
