Does anyone have any experience managing an additional job/role in addition to the consulting gig at Deloitte?

How was the approval process? Any do's vs don't's? Any other tips in managing two jobs?

Asking as I am receiving quite a large number of short term contracts (<6months) for role paying a decent penny that I 100% could do in addition to my current role - nervous on the approval process/unknowns.

why is Uber requiring 4YOE for L3 strategy/ops roles?? You can’t get L4 unless you have 4+ YOE, and at 3YOE they quoted me $105-115k base for L3 manager title strategy ops position. Negligible bonus and RSU. Why such low comp???

I accepted an offer from Cognizant for a consultant position a little less than a month ago. My joining date is 5th September and I would need visa sponsorship. Does anyone work in an area with lots of exterior environmental noise (traffic, concerts, trains, etc.) and have tips for not becoming overwhelmed and/or distracted by it? I’m finding that environmental noise has increased near my office now that tourism has picked back up in my city, and I’m struggling to block it out. I’ve tried earplugs but the noises tend to vibrate my office building so the earplugs don’t work well as an entire block.

One of the reasons I want to transition from industry to consulting (tier 1) is that I get frustrated when I have to collaborate with mediocre people. My assumption is that Tier 1 consulting firms hire really sharp people and if I can get in, I’ll be collaborating with folks on top of their game (not expecting much from clients).
