I have received offer from Shell and SAP labs is in final stage salary discussion. Shell is offering 6 lacs more than @SAP labs. I have tried to negotiate a lot from SAP but they are not ready. They are putting conditions like give your full commitment to join then only we'll release offer letter. I am currently looking for work life balance with growth. Should I join @SAP considering its a Product based and good WLB and learning? Teck Stack - Java/Micro-services/cloud YOE - 11yrs

So very sad that this happened. It definitely shut things down for us. The closest thing I can think of that relates to life events affecting my workload is Covid. That was a disaster. Every department in my company was negatively affected and so many emergency changes had to be made. It made us step up and think on our feet though with is good.

Yes this was sad news. Covid was tough on me too. I was furloughed in my most recent position and then hired back a few months into Covid. A lot of changes were made too and the company finally accepted remote work.
I’m waiting on notice from our freight forwarder if we have product coming that route.

I’m hoping your product is ok.
No, thank God. That bridge collapse is all I can think about. I can't get those video images out of my mind. I really hope they're able to find some survivors.

Me too. We talked about it during our daily group meeting. So sad.
Yes, and the videos are heartbreaking.
We have dealt with natural disasters that have prevented regular business for a few weeks.

I only saw one or two videos and I don’t want to look at any more at this point. Sadly I don’t think this is the end of disasters this year. I can’t believe that bridge has been operational since the 70s!
