Did many firms give raises during covid or have firm addressed upcoming raises/bonuses that may have been forgone?

I joined IBM on last week of May 2022, was on bench till 20th November 2022 and got allocated to project on 21 November 2022.

Hey folks. Question for the majority of us still under the big 3 holding co’s...are raises a thing anymore? I’ve been at my (smaller) agency almost 5yrs and got one raise (a nice $12k bump) during that time—is that sufficient? Is one increase in that span normal? I also recognize being somewhere 5 years is rare these days. The honeymoon period at any agency seems to be 2.5—3yrs before bolting. Not complaining, just asking. How long will it take for the incumbent to receive revised compensation offer ? No grade change was discussed will that be decided by HR or not required

Today I learned a new thing. One candidate was referred by a colleague of mine in the system. He got selected and offer letter rolled out.

When he checked the system he realized the referral was not taken and the background system captured it as direct hire.

So my friend is not going to get any referral incentive.

Wondering if anyone else faced the same issue?
