I once saw a job asking for 10 years of experience in a software that had only been around for 4. Time travelers only, apparently.
My buddy is in HR for an IT firm. Companies will often create impossible to fill job vacancies in order to justify bringing in an ( ̶u̶n̶d̶e̶r̶p̶a̶i̶d̶ ̶o̶v̶e̶r̶w̶o̶r̶k̶e̶d̶ ̶u̶s̶u̶a̶l̶l̶y̶ ̶u̶n̶q̶u̶a̶l̶i̶f̶i̶e̶d̶ ̶w̶a̶g̶e̶ ̶s̶l̶a̶v̶e̶)̶ H1B visa worker.
They'll put some ridiculous job requirements out there, put the pay as super below market rates and then go to the government and bring over someone whose name might as well be "spam likely".

LOL what??? That's catering to a very small market. Ridiculous. It's not quite at the same level as this, but I saw a posting that required candidates to be trilingual. Seemed like a lot to ask, but I guess it must've been essential.
I have seen the cases in tech for a certain number of years, but the language or whatever hasn’t even existed for that long. Probably anything in an entry level job posting right now is kind of wild. 5+ years is not an entry to me anymore. That’s full in the door and then some.
