I had interviewed externally for a role on par w the internal roles, at a smaller and less established company. They confirmed +20% was in their range

How do I push back on my company if they offer less than that, if I do want one of those roles? Without a pay scale, what is the best way to approach?

Conventional wisdom on current firm counter-offering when mentioning you have a few offers? I have an offer at a large firm in Miami. Current large firm has no office there but mentioned they can likely let me be there in a remote basis. BCG and a few other law blog sites have advised against accepting current firm counter-offers, e.g., likely to leave, not loyal, off partner track, etc., but would love to hear everyone’s thoughts.

This does two things for the business 1) creates visibility around performance individuals, departments and business as a whole and 2) enables businesses to predict outcomes for the next month, quarter etc.

I wanted to ask how do you ask for 2x or 3x hike on your current ctc as tbh sometimes i feel that i might not get a callback from recruiter if i ask for 2x hike. I was demotivated. My job started paying me good money so I blindly upskilled myself technically. It’s been a while.
