most companies wont sponsor a new H1B unless you're already working for them on OPT or something
Advice: from L1 I think it will be very difficult to go to H1B in a different company given that you need an offer, apply for H1B through lottery in April and if you get it, you can start working next October. I don’t think any company would wait for you about so many months (remember you need an offer in February the latest in order to apply in April). I’m afraid your only option is to stick with Accenture, get GC and then move to another company. Your other option is to go to H1B with Accenture and then you can transfer your H1b anytime to another company since you will not need to pass through the lottery again
I agree wit D1. L1 is a golden cuff which u literally cannot escape.
I do not agree with D1. I’ve seen coworker got sponsored by a much smaller tech firm. If you know how to code and code well, H1b isn’t even an issue.
the points do not talk abt h1b being an issue, but the timing and lottery challenge 1- need to be picked in lottery challenge 2 - can only work from October. no company can wait that long
Let me put it like this EY1: if a team hires OP just because they are bringing as much talent as they can in their unit, then they might wait for him. If they want to hire 1 person for a specific job that needs to be fulfilled in the short term they wouldn’t wait +8 months for him. Usually the case is the second option
