Do Barclays take interview of candidates after joining for assigning projects?

Anybody received a decision on their final interview round or an offer from Deloitte UK recently? I am waiting for a decision since over a month now.

I have an interview for a technical writer position in the chemistry field. Coming from a lab based chemistry role I'm use to getting technical questions about my lab experience. With this role I'm interviewing for being office based, I'm not sure what questions they may ask. What interview questions can I expect for a technical writing position?

When a recruiter tells you the salary range in the first interview, is that firm? Is there typically room to negotiate above this if you're chosen?

Hi Fishes, Have a query. My spouse is working in the electrical and electronics field for the last 15years, in various GCC countries. Now he wishes to come back to India and wants to join some company here. But seems like similar opportunities are very less, say close to 3-4%. What is your opinion if he takes a DevOps course and do a career change ? What will be the % of getting interviews ? Even if he gets selected, how much will he get?

If an otherwise good interview the interviewer says: “I think you have great experience that will help you wherever you go”. Should I be reading into this?

I had my second technical interview two weeks ago and I had emailed the recruiter to check for any progress on my application. I just received an email saying they want to talk to me over call. Should I be worried? Given the hiring freeze .. I am a little worked up. I mean, I would surely talk to her soon to know the situation but my anxiety is off the charts. Is this positive or negative ?

Need some advice. Would you take a contract role for a big tech company? Went through a full cycle of interviews but another candidate was selected for the role. The senior manager then emailed me directly asking if I was interested in a contract position. Not sure what to do….

UPDATE (RE: SoCal Assistant Controller Interview)

So after two weeks of waiting (and giving up on the idea of getting the job really), the recruiter got back to me.

They said due to month-end and quarter-end close they were busy and couldn’t get back to me as quickly for a “good update”.

The recruiter said the CFO enjoyed our call, she, the CFO, will call me next week directly to “discuss some final things”.

Not sure if Im hired or not, but are there any questions about the job, comp (cont.)

When BigLaw attorneys interview students, how soon afterward do they give feedback? What kind of feedback do you give as an interviewer at your firm (e.g. qualitative, quantitative, thumbs up, thumbs down, veto)? Does everyone get in a room or do you just submit the forms to one hiring partner, and/or to a black box? If you don't click with the student, what would make you still give them a thumbs up? TTC for a while now, and I think my mind/body’s playing tricks on me. I didn’t have my regular period this cycle, more like spotting, and have bouts of nausea but the home kits have been negative. It’s trying to go through this every month.

Need advice. Very Shy guy and girl, met a while back for a side hustle both like each other a LOT, relationship has progressed in other areas but not in the physical realm, primarily because neither officially asked the other out. Guy is a very rough around edges, asked for a date by saying ‘anytime you need breakfast or lunch, let me know’. I am an independent gal and didn’t like the way it came across. I really want to take this forward but am out of ideas on how to make a date happen.
