Do boutique fund formation firms that work with non-micro funds exist, or due to the regulatory, tax and similar specialists undertakings generally keep those at the BL firms?

They exist but they're very rare. I'd say most prefer bigger law firms because better resources and support. I'm sure there are a few boutique firms that specialize in this area though, I'm just not sure what those firms are.

Is it the case here?

I have not yet received an offer. Is it typical for companies to ask for this documentation if they don't intend to make the candidate an offer?
