Or something else entirely like leaving for a job that doesn't require travel. It's not always about money

Varies dramatically based on your level, firm, and what kind of consulting you do/what kind of company you jump to. Some people like myself get incredibly lucky and get a substantial raise when moving to industry, but that’s going from b4 gov’t consulting to corp strat SC consulting to SM industry

like

Almost always a cut because consulting is a much harder job than most that requires way more hours

like

it’s tough but there’s stuff out there that can match your comp at least that aren’t just PE and Tech. takes patience though, and you need to have a specialized value prop outside of being a consultant, e.g., i’ve been consulting in the same industry for 6 years now

Hello all,

I'm a PA in the PNW working for a private group staffing ED's in several hospitals. Recently the group has asked the PA's to take on a couple new roles (triaging and rapid track from triage i.e. straightforward ESI 4, 5). With these changes the PA's are considering asking for increased pay in the form of an addition of a COLA (cost of living adjustment) to our normal salary. Was wondering if any other PA's in the ED have these in their contracts and at what rate.

-Thanks
