I answered the Manual Testing questions correctly and automation questions fairly. I got a rejection mail from HR as below , Is this the common template for everyone or should I hope for future roles after several months .I am already in notice period and feeling low.

"Although we didn’t find a strong fit for this particular role, we would love to keep in touch -- Amazon is growing and changing quickly, and there may be additional opportunities in the future"

Realizing I lowballed myself moving to a big city from a smaller one in terms of salary. Now I’m up for a promotion... but average salary for that is 40k more - do I dare ask?! Or am I screwed?
