Do we need to worry about further layoffs in CTS? I have been in VCDP since yesterday Feb 14. My project end date is 28th Feb. Currently in it as non-billable. Joined CTS in Jan 2023 as SA. Such a stupid scenario. They have hired me but not giving work.

Joined in Oct for SAP functional. Now one manager who interviewed me reached out that there is a training material developer project which will start on 20 nov for Oracle timeline is 2 months only and SAP projects are in pipeline there was one coming but no guarantee if its final and if it has to come it will be in this month because in dec new projects do not onboard. I have worked on oracle in the past but now am fully into SAP. Should I take this project or wait until Jan for SAP project?

I just finished a big jury trial with a senior partner (SP). There were co-parties w/separate counsel. SP mentally checked out, to the point that co-counsel was asking what SP was doing/if SP was okay. I ended up handling most everything. SP did a few parts but went rogue and did things that were offensive/risky/bad for client. It became clear that SP is not performing like SP used to and may be a liability. Do I tell someone at my firm? Don’t want to offend SP or cause drama, but I’m concerned.

How am I expected to bill 1900 hours when I only have 8 cases and when I ask for work no one responds. I even asked the partner in person for work and he said he was slow and didn’t have anything for me.This month I’ve only billed 80 hrs. Working at a company that is developing processes and we do not have a consistent/formulaic approach to RAG status. I've worked in other companies where we would do line item milestones with their own individual RAG (determined by probability+ impact) that would roll up into an overall project RAG status. So, I just fired my first employee as a manager and I'm heartbroken. He was a great, great person but after 6 months on a PIP he just wasn't cutting it skills-wise. I know he was the provider of the household and his wife didn't have a job since she was raising three young ones. Needless to say, I had to take off because I felt terrible, sick to my stomach.
