In some ways maybe more. You likely had a larger role and took on more responsibility early on.
On the flip side some recruiters only care about prestige
While this is a good thought, I think most recruiters care more about prestige.
Depends on what they need. A startup would probably prefer relevant experience in the same environment
99% of the time it won't matter about the fact it was a start up, it's the skills you gained that you simply can't get in large corps.
Doesn’t matter. Helped sell our company to a Fortune 500 and they wouldn’t go higher than analyst.
Thanks. Analyst has been fine. It’s nice to take a breather after hectic startup life. Also able to start my own business on the side with how little is expected of me here
Depends on where that startup went. Is it still operating and growing? Did it run out of money before getting to profitability or securing funding? What was your role there? What industry were you serving?
Given how many startups fail, generic “early stage startup” experience doesn’t necessarily confer a skill set, just risk tolerance.
It all comes down to, is your experience robust and relevant.
