Have you ever taken a career slow down? I am feeling burnt out from COVID and the incremental responsibilities thrown my way over the last 5+ years. I feel like my health has deteriorated. I like my company, but I want to do less. I don’t need to be a HR Director, CHRO, etc. With a career slowdown, I am prepared for a lower compensation and would want decent benefits. Any lessons learned or success stories about career slowdowns?

Covid has been hard. March 2029- December 2020 I drank a lot to cope without realizing it. January- March I didn't realize I was depressed. March I came to terms with increase and ongoing suicidal ideation and needed help.

I went into a intensive outpatient program (IOP) which has been super helpful.

During the beginning of covid I drank every day and in a great deal. January it was a "dry" month which was hard the first week but overall great.

March 2021 realized I'm clinically depressed.

Need to leave for Canada in roughly a month because of US visa expiry but worried about potential travel restrictions in Canada given the bad covid situation. Are there any provinces that are not as hard hit by covid? Any advice is appreciated. Thanks.

Is it really that difficult to get hired for a federal job? I was interviewed for a GS12 job but never heard back, they still didn’t hire anyone and I didn’t get a rejection. I've cleared both the technical rounds in EY India. But HR is saying, they can't offer me more than 8 LPA as my YOE is 2.6 years. (I already have other offer of 13 LPA, still they're not listening). Is it correct that EY India can't give more than 8 LPA for 2.6 years of experience. #EY #EYIndia
