You could have them “create their own” deck just using #s 1-12 on index cards and just do red and black colors to write the numbers rather than trying to do suits...?
You may also try displaying a virtual deck using projector....there are several virtual decks you can draw one at a time like random-cards.com or deck.of.cards and www.random.org/playing-cards/ even lets you chose how many cards are drawn at a time as well as which suits and # should be included in your deck....I know it’s not the same thing and you can’t have the kids play against each other since everybody in class is doing the same calculations for the same cards....but you could possibly assign different operations to different students for score keeping after they have had lots of practice using all of the operations..? It’s just a thought! Hope this is at least somewhat helpful!
