Do you use an actual textbook for your courses? Why or why not? If not, what do you use instead?

I use my textbook mostly as a guide. I will pick some of the materials from the book and supplement info. It also depends on the book

like

I use the textbook for me, but I haven’t had students use one in a few years. I find the books are more informative rather than interactive, so we build activities using the content.

like

I use some from my textbook and some from other teachers.

What textbooks have/do you use?

In case of the latter can you guys suggest lucrative technologies which has little/no coding and can definitely give good packages? I’m seriously contemplating taking a software development boot camp. For those who hire new software developers, does it make you stand out if you get your certificate from a university instead of a coding academy (like coding dojo or something)? I noticed the universities are a bit more expensive but is it worth the price to have a university on your resume or does it not really matter?

Any tips for how to better implement feedback on drafts? My work is so heavily redlined that I struggle to consistently follow through with every comment/feedback. I am in patent prosecution, so it is a lot of detailed technical writing, but is also fairly formulaic, which is nice. Thankfully the partner I work with is extremely patient and a very good teacher, I would just like to be better at learning from his very thorough feedback.
