What level and yoe?
Last year I was in same situation. My last day was 30th April 2021. I was promoted in May
I was promoted to TL with 21% hike.
I had offer if 35% hike.
I made a mistake by staying back. Now after 1 year I have resigned again and now moving for sure
15 days back
My personal suggestion is not take such things in words if they are not ready to write it in paper ,then u can tell them clearly it's not about trust but it's about confidence as there is long channel of people involved and just to keep things clear I may need it in written
Take it on papers, you don't know..

They are not ready to write in email. All they are telling have trust. Had conversation with MD as well and he promissed for promotion but hike % could be between 20 to 30% only since they don't have control on deciding exact percentage.
Just ask them to write the exact words in an email and send to you copying HR
This is all tactics and manipulation by management. If they are not providing anything in writing then it is as good as nothing. The new job will provide you the benefits from day 1 but the current one will provide in December (that's also a maybe). Better to move on without thinking.
Never accept a counter offer.
Why?
Don listen them. Just leave and join another for which u hv offers.
