A full suit and tie, no. I’d do that for your first day and see what others do but generally more like dress pants/shoes and a collared shirt
I’d wear a suit and tie your first day and then gage the room to what to wear after your first full week.
Most the time someone will tell you if you’re over dressed. You don’t want the under dressed boss convo

Business casual. Even attorneys aren’t in suits and ties every day anymore.
Congrats, the first couple of weeks you’ll be attending a lot of trainings on conference room floors, you’ll be fine in collar neck and maybe a suit jacket. Once you get assigned to a practice group you’ll be able to see what your other peers wear on a day to day, which is usually just business causal. But for the love of god please have a full suit outfit handy in the office in the off chance you get sent to court or a client’s office.
Tuxedo with white dinner jacket.
What office? When I was a LA at Skadden DC, it was business casual. For the first day, wear a suit but you can likely wear dress pants and a button down after that (if you’re in DC). As someone said above, keep a suit (or at the very least, a jacket) at your desk.
I appreciate your advice! I’m going to be at the nyc office, I’m going to go in with a full suit my first day and gage the room like everybody said. Thanks for the help!
What in the world is a collar neck?
