Just received an email from compliance that Wealthfront should be labeled as a brokerage account and needs to be closed. Anyone know how to work around this? Using it just for the cash savings account

Lol good luck. Just divest...shouldn’t be too difficult if it’s your cash savings account

like

Workaround is to open an account which is compliant with Deloitte independence( betterment?) transfer the cash there and close wealthfront account.

like

That is 100% not a workaround 😂

likefunny

Just tell them that. Send them the link to the cash account with an explanation. Should be good enough.

Can’t you request an exception? Provide proof of no equities each year and call it a day?

You'll need to divest, there is no way around it. That noted, I do believe Goldman's Marcus account is fine. I personally us Schwab which is pretty good.

So my fiancée and I are relatively late in terms of finally landing well paying jobs and being able to save money instead of living paycheck to paycheck. We’re both 36 and currently rent a 2 bedroom in NY and have a combined savings of $35,000 which she wants to use as a down payment on a condo. I kinda just wanna continue saving while renting. I also literally just started contributing to my 401K so I’m also late in the game for that too.

This is gonna sound stupid, but I’m honest - I can’t do math. Calculating a tip is as advanced as I get. Thank god for excel formulas and a math savvy husband. At the end of the day, I pay all the bills (I know- but I’m more organized) and make double his salary, what low stress effort (on my limited math capacity brain) can I do to increase wealth?

I feel like I should be doing more with extra money to help us financially, but I’m scared of having to study stocks and understand the numbers. 😖

Hi all,

My boss makes jokes about me being from a different country whenever there is a work meeting or a gathering with coworkers, even though he knows where I am from. This usually occurs when I meet new work-related people or for example if I am in a situation that involves ethnic related subjects.

What is this? This is normal?

Stereotyping?
Racism?

The first time I ignored that, but now it has become a pattern and is bothering me now. I am south-American working in the UK.
