Does anyone feel like you need your medicine to get the substantive work done but you’re better at playing office politics and building relationships when off it?

Yes, 100%. When I’m on my meds I’m much less chatty, and my tolerance for small talk is almost nonexistent.

like

Way more diplomatic and thoughtful about what I say when I’m off my meds.

However, I’ve been called “mature” by several partners because the meds make me ask/ say the difficult things bluntly without beating round the bush.

Thanks, A2, that’s really helpful—I’m going to try those tips. OP, yes same experience here. It’s a little unsettling but hopefully something we can get used to and adapt.

Yes. Highly unsustainable

Omg I've had this thought so many times. Obviously the medicine helps with focus and getting through tasks, but being off it always gives me so much more of a natural vibe when connecting with others. I try to kind of plan my medicine days around events like that, like if I know I need to be social I won't take it that day.

like

Yes, absolutely. I feel like on my meds I just want to be left alone to do my work and any interruption is annoying.

like

So what do we do to combat this? Any strategies/tips would be greatly appreciated!

I have one day a week where I’ll take my medicine a little later (when I get to the office instead of when I get up at home) I socialize a bit until it kicks in then I go about my day. It’s not often enough to throw off my productivity but keeps me in the loop

Hi All,
I had my 1st round of interview with Executive Director and 2 leads for Technical role. I have 2 queries-
1. How many rounds should i expect in total considering I clear everything? (I think my first round itself has technical + manger/director)
2. How long (time) will it take to get an offer?
TIA :)

I'm getting my brother autographed Panthers memorabilia for christmas, but I'm the gay son in the family who knows nothing about football... So we've got someone named D.J. None of these names are doing anything for me, nor do any of the stats mean anything to me when I look up their names on Google. Do any of these names ring a bell to you, and which ones would be the coolest for a signed helmet/jersey?

I’ve tried earplugs but the noises tend to vibrate my office building so the earplugs don’t work well as an entire block.

There’s been some posts on the best planning tools (e.g. planners, calendars, etc.), but my question is how do ppl make sure they use them? Can anyone offer advice for helping with adderall side effects? I was diagnosed a few months ago and I am new to medication. I have been taking 20 mg xr in the morning but have a terrible crash around 2/3pm each day where I just get very very tired. Doctor recommended 10mg ir mid day to combat but I still experience pretty severe fatigue as a side effect. Just wondering if anyone has found any natural strategies to cope or mitigate. Thanks!
