Does anyone have any insider tricks for getting the best group hotel rates? I'm trying to negotiate the lowest price for a company event. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Have as big a number as you can and generally the more you can put down before the better your position will be to negotiate a better rate. Something to watch out for, you will still be paying for the rooms even if they aren’t filled. A good time to shop around if you have a lot of options in the area too.

Check if any of your attendees are part of loyalty programs. Sometimes members can unlock better group rates or earn points for the booking.

I don't have a driving licence or a car, cause I have a health condition growing up and driving is not ideal for me. But my goal is to be a big 4 partner, but sometimes I am afraid they will ask me to travel to somewhere which is not on my subway line. I live in a city where the subway is accessible to clients, so it hasn't been an issue so far and sometimes I can Uber. And of course due to COVID, it's all remote now. I understand directors/partners usually travel much more and would worry!

We never know our capabilities until we are tested and challenged. This is when we realize we can do it and we can get through it 🫶🏻! IA you got this 🫶🏻!

I certainly don't want to mislead anyone on the job responsibilities, but I do want to avoid any potential negative stereotypes attached to that job title.
