Since beards (well kept) are now acceptable in the office space, is it still smart to shave completely for a job interview in consulting?
Very young professional here - what is the etiquette for interviewing for jobs during the work day? Every place I look only offers times during working hours. I’m not sure if this is just normal / the way it is - how should I maneuver things respectfully?
I interviewed for a BB during junior year, and declined an offer to a BB. A recruiter at the firm that I declined reached out to me. Will it negatively impact me, seriously thinking about a switch.
If you are a WoC and someone you supervised harmed someone but you chose to do nothing because you reasoned it was better to save your ass as a “minority role model,” you’re disgusting.
Interested in an strategy equity research analyst role at UBS. Anyone UBS 🐠 willing to talk about the company culture, typical career progression, etc.? Recent STEM grad with <1 YOE
If you were recently laid off or looking for a new position: we are hiring for two management consultant professionals with at least 5 years client facing experience. Please DM me if interested—thanks!
Updating my portfolio and would love feedback - https://maisari.com. Have a couple more case studies to add but it’s mostly done. Applying for in house product designer positions. Thanks 😁🙏
Someone I used to work with at another firm wants a referral for a role to manage my team. I don’t want to report to them, but if I refuse to refer and they get hired any way, it wouldn’t look good.
Hello 🐠. Have been extended an offer for an industry role without an onsite interview. I completed 3 rounds of telephonic/video based interviews. Is this suspicious or normal? Any inputs appreciated!
Starting a new job next week but a premier firm reached out for a final round interview. Should I take it?
I just got a great offer: my preferred role, company, and compensation all match what I really want. My only concern is moving during this COVID environment. What're your thoughts on this?
How do you judge books when hiring creatives? Do you use any benchmarks or just go with what moves you?
The reality of ageism hurts. Trying to stay relevant and likeable as a 33 yo female is something I’m having to work harder on than my actual job. I take virtual classes and do competitions to stay “current,” but I’m old enough to be the parents of some of my partners. I even attended an online seminar and asked the hiring manager at my dream agency if they’d ever consider hiring a mid-level 30-something, and she said that juniors bring the “freshness” and are more impressionable and adaptable.
If your company is hiring for Workday HCM or HR consultants and you're willing to refer. Let me know! Thanks
During an interview a partner was mad at me because I preferred a deck/Visio over whiteboard FYI- I have bad writing. He said I was over paid after telling him my pay. I told him that's his opinion
Any firms still hiring in London? Currently at a BB Investment Bank working on strategic ops transformation using all the new shiny technologies.
Which firms have had layoffs within the last 6 months? Was it contained to a particular practice, "sub-group" or other characteristic? It seems like a lot of firms have been making cuts....
Curious to know if any agencies have cracked the code on maintaining their culture while WFH. Making employees feel connected? Fostering collaboration, etc..., beyond just having good communication platforms like zoom?
Any thoughts on Sr. Director / Partner level work at Cognizant? Whats the culture and opps like over there? Always put them in the same category as Wipro, TCS, Infosys etc rightly or wrongly.
Anyone familiar with Bluestar bioadvisors ? Type of work? Culture? How highly regarded in industry? Thx
Are any of the firms planning more layoffs? Any specific industries? Is it just lack of demand causing this?
In the past six years I’ve grown from an intern to my current position in an average-sized agency (~80 people) in a medium-sized market (Southeast). I’m starting to look for the next opportunity, but not sure how to best position myself and what job to look for. I develop creative myself, with extensive skills in photo/video, Lr, Pr, Ps, Ae and C4d, I manage a team, develop concepts, pitch to clients, pioneer innovations, build case studies & have two masters. What am I & where should I look?
Received offer from D. A little confused as it says I would next be eligible for an salary bump in August 2018. But was under the impression the FY ends in March. Is there that long of a gap?
EY folks -- can anyone explain the hiring (approval) process? Numbers and levels of approvals, type of background check done, usual length of time to complete the hiring process, etc. For M3.
What’s the most offensive thing people said to you at work? Trying to navigate the being an a$$ and success consultant culture
I'm waiting to hear back about a job.it's been 4wks since the interview & after emailing about their status 7/9 they said they hadn't decided & are interviewing add'l ppl. Is it annoying to email again?
My friend referred this girl to me that's looking for a job. Her email to me said she's looking for a position in consulting. She's currently a nanny, and listed "diapering" as a skill... #icanteven
All 🐠 with firms that provide pensions... Best advice for vested pension when leaving your firm? Should you take lump sum or leave it? Manager level but been with firm since college graduation.
