I have an interview for 'IT Support Engineer' any tips?

Not trying to read too much into signs because I don’t want to get hopes up to be let down, but what does it mean that a recruiter follows up an email within 1hr not by email, but phone call with an update that I’m one of the two final candidates. I’m getting interview burnout during my job search and this being the first time a recruiter followed up by phone instead of email and quickly at that. When will I see the light at the end of the tunnel?

If I only have 30 minutes for a technical interview for a PE ops role, am I expected to know how to build a 3 statement model? I would assume it’s filling in missing items and calculating out items like the cash flows, but wanted to see if others had any insight.

Anyone have success cold applying for VC roles and not in MBB? Just submitted an app last week and they should be reaching out this week, but I’m not sure how long to wait before giving up…

I found a company I was really excited about working at. I applied for the job and went through 5 rounds of interviews. At the end they said I was OVER qualified and they want me for a different position higher up in the company. I was super excited they then had me go through 5 more rounds, 3/5 people were the same. The interviews mostly went "didn't you get the job, I highly recommend you? I'll just put you down as a 10". After those were done they told me I was UNDER qualified. Can't win!

So I’m thinking about applying for different companies.. I feel forced to I currently make a little under 50k a year with 4 1/2 years of PC experience. Currently an underwriter. Any companies you all know that are actively hiring with a good salary for experience?

With all the layoffs right now, how do you tackle the topic in interviews? Do you mention it first since they’ll see on your resume you’re not presently working there? How about if you say you “quit”?

Any advice on how to play this? I met with someone in my practice area at a firm 6 months ago. There’s now a posting for position that is perfect for me. Hi guys - seeking advice on how to stand out when applying for an Account Manager/Digital Strategist role at Google. Eager to move on from PR/advertising agency world and enter Tech. Currently have 5 years in agency experience (same company after leaving university). Have applied via traditional channels (LinkedIn) and no luck after reviewing my resume multiple times with Google’s recommendations and having someone senior at a competing Tech company review. 2 years of experience at BCG post-undergrad. Interviewed for the biz ops team and was told they thought I was a great fit for google, but just didn’t have enough tech experience at this time. I believe this was because I struggled in one of my case interviews. What other roles could I look at at google with my experience level?
